That tradition almost disappeared. But Kellie Martinez wouldn't let it. Taking the reins of a shop that's outlasted decades of change in Englewood wasn't the easy road. The barbering world has always been a male-dominated space, and walking into it as a woman — not just as a barber, but as the owner — took the kind of grit that doesn't come from a business plan. It comes from love. Love for the craft. Love for the community. Love for what this place has always meant to the people who walk through the door.
Today, Quincy Barbers is still right here in Englewood. Still doing traditional barbering the way it was meant to be done — straight razor work, precision fades, clean beard trims, and cuts that actually fit the person in the chair. No rush. No assembly line. No compromise.
